The park is set along the western branch of the Great Rift Valley, providing stunning landscapes that range from dense forests to open floodplains:
Day 1: Arrival at Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport. Transfer to your lodge near Lake Manyara. Afternoon game drive exploring the acacia woodlands and spotting elephants and giraffes. Sunset photography at the lake’s edge. Overnight at lodge.
Day 2: Early morning game drive into the park, focusing on spotting tree-climbing lions and buffalo herds. Picnic lunch near the lake. Afternoon birdwatching tour around the soda lake and wetlands to capture flamingos and other migratory birds. Evening relaxation at the lodge.
Day 3: Optional walking safari or guided nature walk to learn about the park’s flora and fauna. Scenic drive to the park’s viewpoints for panoramic Rift Valley photos. Return to Arusha or Moshi in the late afternoon.
The dry season from June to October is ideal for wildlife viewing. Flamingos are most abundant during the wet season from November to May.
