Ascend steadily through the lower slopes of Mount Meru, reaching Miriakamba Hut for your first overnight stay in tents or hut accommodation. Dinner and rest prepare you for the next day’s climb.
Continue trekking through montane forests, with scenic views of valleys and surrounding peaks. Enter moorland terrain with giant heathers and unique alpine vegetation. Arrive at Saddle Hut, located near the saddle point between Mount Meru’s peaks. Take optional acclimatization walks, enjoy panoramic views, and rest for the summit push.
